Judith Ellers is a multi-disciplined artist with studios at her principal residence in Easton, Washington County, NY and her seasonal residence in Westford, Otsego County, NY. After a twenty year teaching career at Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of South Carolina she returned ten years ago to upstate New York. The call of the region is strong and serves her well. The natural beauty and sense of history experienced here fuels her creativity through her photography, painting, book making and most recently digital painting. She is a Phi Kappa Phi BFA and MFA graduate in Painting with a minor in Printmaking from Rochester Institute of Technology. Ms. Ellers has exhibited throughout the Eastern United States and is listed in the publication “100 Artists Among Us”. She is currently an active member of the Cooperstown Art Association, Cooperstown, NY; East Bank Arts Alliance, Troy, NY; North Country Arts, NY; Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, Glens Falls, NY; Southern Vermont Arts Center, Manchester, VT; and The Fenimore, Cooperstown, NY. In addition she maintains Whipple City Studio, her private art gallery and shop in the Village of Greenwich, NY.
