SPLASH & DASH Experimental Abstracts

Saturday, October 26, 10am - 2pm

Location: Ti Arts Downtown Gallery

Maximum Participants: 8

Age: 16+

Instructor: Fred Holman

Come and PLAY with PAiNT !! Have fun, experiment, paint a scene, scrape it off, paint a flower, scrape it off, or just push the paint around. Each person will be given two 2’x2’ panels (to take home or not), paint, tools, brushes and encouragement. Fred will get you started and guide you through the day. Bring a lunch or dine at one of our local restaurants.

Floral Design Demo, Slide Show & Talk

Ti Arts Downtown Gallery

During this workshop, Kim will create 4-5 flower designs and talk about different flower arranging techniques, design styles and long-lasting flowers. At the end of the demo 4-5 lucky winners will take the arrangements home. We hope this demo and the talk about floral interpretation of art will inspire attendees to take the plunge and enter a floral interpretation of a piece of art from our gallery for the Petals and Paintings Show, Sept 12-14. All invited!

Ruth Rumney

Ruth Rumney was a noted Adirondack artist whose work spanned over fifty years. Rumney was born in 1922 in Westport, New York on the shores of Lake Champlain. Her works have found homes throughout the United States and Europe and she continued painting well into her eighties. The artist has been profiled in Adirondack Life and was the subject of an upstate PBS Art Express documentary.

This is your chance to acquire an original Ruth Rumney oil painting. Bidding starts at $250 and closes September 27. Bid in person at the gallery or email ticonderogaarts@gmail.com with your bid, name and phone number. Winner picks up or pays shipping fees.
