About Us
With a dream and a vision, a small group of artists and supporters established Ticonderoga Arts, Inc in 2008. Today, we have evolved into a full-fledged arts organization with a gallery.
The gallery was first established at the La Chute plaza in downtown Ticonderoga, NY. In May of 2010, Ticonderoga Arts moved the gallery into a larger, more prominent location in the historic 1926 Hancock House, home of the Ticonderoga Historical Society Museum and Research Library.
In June 2014, Ti Arts added a second gallery on 119 Montcalm Street when the volunteers who had founded the Downtown Gallery joined Ti Arts and a new board of directors was created. Ti Arts closed the gallery at Hancock House on December 31, 2016.
The Ti Arts Downtown Gallery continues to improve. In 2021, we added a new art hanging system and better lighting.
We invite you to stop in and discover the work of local artists in a continually expanding variety of media including painting, photography, pottery, wood, textiles, print making, sculpture and jewelry on exhibit and for sale. We offer or provide space for arts and cultural events, most of them free, throughout the year.
Visit us at 119 Montcalm Street, Ticonderoga, NY, Thursday-Saturday 10 am - 4 pm all year and include same hours on Wednesdays from June - August.
We are also open periodically for arts and cultural events in the daytime and evenings, which are announced on the gallery's Facebook page, in the Sun Community News, and the Ticonderoga area's Chamber of Commerce events page.
